Checking fixture for bumper trim with emblem integrated

  • Bumper trim composed of a single part integrating the car emblem: control of the trim and of the emblem shape
  • Aluminium base plate
  • Possibility to mount two versions of part with two different emblems.
  • Fixation of the part by clips: simulation of the part fixation and vehicle environment by an anodized aluminium block. Fastening by openable clipping systems activated by clamps.
  • Control of the part outline by blocks simulating the vehicle environment of the part with a gap controlled by Go/No Go gauge.
  • Control of the part deformation by dial indicators.
  • Control of the part emblem by removable blocks. Control by simulation of the shape of the part with a gap controlled by Go/No Go gauge.

Description

Checking fixtures for bumper trims composed of a single injected part - with or without emblem - or of several injected parts. This type of part is highly deformable; consequently, the checking fixture controlling them must conform the part by reproducing its vehicle environment. Considering the high flexibility of bumper trims, they are usually controlled by a combination of Go/No Go controls (blocks simulating the part vehicle environment with a gap controlled by Go/No Go gauges) and of dial indicator control points.

Materials and tolerances

Our checking fixtures are produced in aluminium, the components submitted to wear-and-tear are produced in steel. Tolerances for RPS (fixation points) and dial indicator points: ±0.05mm. Tolerances for simulation blocks: ±0.1mm.
