Description
The number plate is one of the most visible parts of the car. Though quite simple, it is important to make sure that its fixations and shaped are correct, to make sure that its fitting on the car will be perfect. Consequently, a number plate checking fixture must simulate the car environment of this part, and check its basis features: length and height, and flatness of the area fitting on the car. |
Materials and tolerances
Our checking fixtures are produced in aluminium, the components submitted to wear-and-tear are produced in steel. Tolerances for RPS (fixation points) and dial indicator points: ±0.05mm. Tolerances for simulation blocks: ±0.1mm. |
Documentation delivered
Minimum documentation: dimensional report of your checking fixture, 2D assembly drawing, assembly CAD. Optional documentation: R&R report, user manual, stabilization certificate. |
Cycle time and traceability
Though number plates fixtures are not part of the most complex checking fixtures for car parts, they still have at least 5 dial indicator points. This means that the part will be fully checked, but also that the operator in charge of the measurement of this part will need time to carry out all the measurements, write them down and then transfer all this data to his company data base. This process can be automated and made easier and faster: for your number plates fixtures, think about using CAPTOR-S and CAPTOR-C. |
