Test fixturesA series of checking fixtures must be produced to submit head and rearlamps to specific tests simulating their conditions of use during the car useful life. The list bellow presents the most common ones:
- Photometry fixture: control of the correct absorption and transmission of light of the parts. This fixture is produced in black-anodised aluminium - to prevent any reflection while in use on the photometry bench -.
- Rain and salt test fixture: control of the waterproofness of the part. This fixture is produced in stainless steel, and simulate the sealing gasket of the part, to stand its use in waterproofness tests - partial or complete submersion into water - and its contact with corrosive materials - salt -.
- Temperature test fixture: this fixture must be able to stand the temperature tests carried out on the part, usually in a temperature range between -40º and +80º.
- Vibration fixture: this fixture, mounted on a vibration test bench, submits the part to a series of vibrations simulating the use of the lamps in the vehicle in motion. The fixture simulates all the fixations and - if requested - the car environment, and must be submitted to a resonance test, to make sure that no vibration coming from the fixture will cause interferences during the test.
