Rear-view mirror Housing Bracket

Depending on the design of the rear-view mirror assembly, housing brackets are produced as single components, or as part of the mirror housing. The main features to be checked on these parts is their mountability and the location of their fixation holes.

Our checking fixtures are produced in aluminium, the components submitted to wear-and-tear are produced in steel. Tolerances for RPS (fixation points) and dial indicator points: ±0.05mm. Tolerances for simulation blocks: ±0.1mm.

Minimum documentation: dimensional report of your checking fixture, 2D assembly drawing, assembly CAD. Optional documentation: R&R report, user manual, stabilization certificate.

Checking fixture for plastic housing bracket: holes location control
  • Fixation of the housing bracket on its pivot shaft by a clamp, a conic centring pin and a diamond-shaped pin
  • Control of the location of the fixation holes of the part by individual sliding pins
Checking fixture for plastic housing bracket: mountability
  • Control of the mountability of the part on the mirror assembly: simulation of the fixation of the part on the mirror assembly to control its mountability.
  • Control of the shape of the pivot shaft by two gauges fixed on the base plate: one Go gauge, and one No Go gauge, to check the conformity of the dimensions of the shaft.
Checking fixture for metal housing bracket: holes location control
  • Fixation of the housing bracket on its pivot shaft by a centring pin
  • Control of the location of the fixation holes of the part by control pins mounted on one sliding block, for a simultaneous control of all the holes
