Scuttle grilles may consist of a single part assembly, or of two non-symetrical parts. Checking fixtures for scuttle grilles may control the fixations of the part, their fitting in the car environment and their fitting against the windshield.

Our checking fixtures are produced in aluminium, the components submitted to wear-and-tear are produced in steel. Tolerances for RPS (fixation points) and dial indicator points: ±0.05mm. Tolerances for simulation blocks: ±0.1mm.

Minimum documentation: dimensional report of your checking fixture, 2D assembly drawing, assembly CAD. Optional documentation: R&R report, user manual, stabilization certificate

Spoiler checking fixture
  • Aluminium founding basis
  • Positioning of the part in its car position
  • Simulation of the spoiler car environment by aluminium blocks
  • Fixation of the spoiler by its clips: openable clipping systems activated by clamps block the part as in the vehicle
  • Control of the length of the part by removable blocks with a gap controlled by Go/No Go pin.
  • This fixture was designed in a way enabling access to a CMM machine: possibility to use the fixture for production controls and for CMM analysis.
Spoiler basic/CMM fixture
  • Aluminium base plate with aluminium founding reinforcement plates.
  • Positioning of the part in its car position
  • Simulation of all the fixations of the part by openable clipping systems and screws
  • No simulation of the car environment
  • Control of the part length and deformation by dial indicator control points.

  • Aluminium founding basis
  • Positioning of the part in its car position
  • Simulation of the spoiler car environment by aluminium blocks
  • Fixation of the spoiler by its clips: openable clipping systems activated by clamps block the part as in the vehicle
  • Control of the length of the part by blocks with a gap controlled by Go/No Go pin.
  • This fixture was designed in a way enabling access to a CMM machine: possibility to use the fixture for production controls and for CMM analysis.
  • Control of the deformation of the lower area of the extremities of the part by removable blocks with a gap controlled by Go/No Go pin.
